You are a leader. Someone within your organization noticed you, recognized your potential and invested in you to be a part of the 2023 Future Leaders eXperience.
You will be working through a proven curriculum that is built to help you practice the core competencies of leadership.
In addition to the full-group sessions, participants are required to:
- Complete pre- and post-session activities such as viewing videos.
- Complete skills challenges and participate in online discussion posts
Getting Started
- Access each session BEFORE the date to complete your pre-work and AFTER the date to complete your skills challenge.
- You will be grouped in a team of 10-15 other participants from other organizations and areas of the food industry. Your team will be led be a coach and share your leadership journey throughout the program.
- There are two Virtual Open Houses available for you to come learn about the program, test your systems and equipment, meet your fellow leaders and make sure you are ready for the first session on Thursday, April 20.

- Have a navigation system - a Compass - to guide you through the challenges of your role.
Know My Role
- Put people first. Make your team your top priority.
- Describe the impact leaders can have when people are their #1 priority.
- Identify what keeps you from making your people your #1 priority and determine strategies to overcome those obstacles.

- Review critical areas of change in the food retail industry: competitive landscape, changing consumer behaviors, trends impacting customer expectations, and different perspectives from industry stakeholders.
- Recognize the influence leaders have in setting their organization apart from others in the industry.
Connect My Team
Connect daily work to why it matters.
- Recognize the business impacts of engagement.
- Give perspective on the big picture of the organization.
- Inspire purpose with a team story that tells what your team does and why it matters.
